⭐Swinging with the Stars is similar to the popular reality TV show Dancing with the Stars. We take eight of the city’s most influential people and pair them each with a professional dancer⭐.
The pairs then compete in front of a high energy crowd to win bragging rights for the “Crowd Favourite" and "Judge's Favourite" awards.
The heartfelt evening is dedicated to raising funds for Hope’s Home; the first medically integrated daycare in Canada.
Hope’s Home provides children with complex medical needs, their siblings and typically developing children in the community with a place to learn, grow and be kids.
Tickets include admission to the show as well as appetizers before the show and during intermission.
Hope’s Home provides necessary care for children living with complex medical needs, their siblings and typically developing children in the community. From Early Learning & Childcare services to our Supportive Living homes, our inclusive services provide a place for all children to grow in a loving and supportive environment.
The founder of Hope’s Home, Jacque Tisher, describes herself as a mother before all else. She was blessed with her first born daughter Acacia in 1993. Jacque’s eyes were opened to the world of children with complex medical needs when her own daughter was diagnosed with spina bifida.
Being a mother to Acacia inspired Jacque to become a foster mother. In 2003, the opportunity came to meet another potential new member of the family, Hope Dawn Marie. The Tisher’s quickly fell in love with her beautiful smile and the twinkle in her eyes and wanted to bring her home.
On February 3rd, 2004 Hope was held with love as she passed away. She lived her short, sweet life of 10 months in the General Hospital in Regina.
During her time with Hope, Jacque realized that the care available in a hospital setting was not available to families of children with complex medical needs in their own home or community. Bridging the gap of community healthcare, childcare and proper funding is where Hope's Home was created.
All children like Hope deserve a home and a family to love and care for them. And so, on November 1st, 2005 Hope’s Home opened their doors for the first time.
Since then Hope's Home has expanded to seven locations in Regina, Saskatoon, Warman and Prince Albert. Throughout our growth, our purpose remains the same. To provide a safe and inclusive environment where kids with diverse needs learn, grow and thrive.
Your ticket purchase to Swinging with the Stars is part of a much larger story. You're not only supporting the community, but changing the lives of children within our province.
Thank you from all of us at Hope’s Home!
